Arthur committed three felonies throughout the novel: ·Aggravated assault-Attacked Luis with a Black Jack (pg. 205) ·Murder-Luis died after he was assaulted (pg. 236) ·Burglary- Robbed the tented houses (pg. 271)
Learning about felonies really helped me to understand how serious each crime that Arthur committed really was. After reading about
the penalties for these crimes, I know Arthur should be severely punished for what he did. Jail time was clearly in his future. I realized
that what he did was not just some kid making a mistake, Arthur was a felon.
